XGR 2.0 is live

On 24 May 2026, XGR.Network announced that XGR 2.0 was live and that native delegated staking was permissionless on XGRChain.

The release completed the network's transition from the earlier authority-based validation model to the XGR 2.0 Proof-of-Stake / IBFT architecture.

The launch opened the network participation layer to users and validators:

  • delegation from 10,000 XGR
  • native delegated staking
  • direct validator participation
  • stake-linked participation in network security and stability

This replaced the earlier public roadmap item that had described the PoA-to-PoS migration as a future upgrade. From this point onward, staking and PoS were live network capabilities rather than planned work.
