XGR MCP adds one-step Starter Gas for eligible low-balance addresses

Eligible low-balance addresses can receive 1 XGR Starter Gas directly on-chain without handing over keys or creating a repayment obligation.

Starter Gas for a first on-chain action

On 27 July 2026, XGR MCP introduced Starter Gas for eligible low-balance addresses.

The tool can provide 1 XGR directly on-chain so an eligible address can perform its first XGRChain action without first navigating a separate faucet flow.

The security boundary remains explicit:

  • no private-key handover to MCP
  • no repayment obligation for the Starter Gas grant
  • eligibility and limits are enforced by the gateway policy

The feature is designed as an onboarding primitive for agent-driven and user-driven workflows while keeping signing and account control outside the MCP layer.
